About Sotogrande Marina
Sotogrande Marina is the place to be if you want to be close to all of the restaurants, bars, Chiringuitos, Beach Clubs and of course, the yachts and water. There are many different styles of apartments and townhouses available to stay in, depending on your budget and requirements. Built around a Venetianesque style canal network with apartments and townhouses located on the waterside and on the connected islands, along with the beachfront low rise apartment buildings, there is something for everyone in Sotogrande Marina and Port.
If the idea of a luxury apartment a few metres from all of the bars and restaurants, with all of the facilities that you would expect to find such as a choice of outdoor and indoor pools, jacuzzi spa, gym and 24 hour concierge is your perfect holiday, Ribera del Marlin would be your number one choice. Or if you would prefer to be a little further away from the action, maybe a beachside apartment or a riverside townhouse in the Old Port within walking distance of the Octogono Beach and Tennis club with Tavvy’s Watersports and Sailing School and the Club Maritimo Yacht Club all on your doorstep, could be more your style.
The Octogono Beach Club is a members club, but non-members are allowed in after paying an entrance fee. Towels are not provided. You will find a large pool and restaurant and bar along with sunloungers on the grass.
When it comes to what to do in Sotogrande Marina and Port, a sundowner and a spot of people watching at the Ke is an absolute must, and a stroll round the summer night market before heading to one of the great restaurants for dinner is not to be missed.
For those who are looking for something local with a choice of Tapas and Spanish cuisine, try Midas at the very far end of the Marina. Whereas if Asian Fusion is more your thing, then make sure you drop by Don Diego just below Ribera del Marlin. There are so many choices of restaurants available from the traditional English pub style options at the Hairy Lemon, Indian at The Ivory, Argentine at La Quinta , Italian at Portobello, Belgian at Mytilus, the list goes on…
If after dinner you are still wide awake and ready to party, you could head over to the Beach Bar Chiringuitos on Torreguadiaro Beach. Both Bahía Limón and Chambao transform from their chilled out day time vibe, to their night time party alter egos as the sun goes down and have cocktails and music going on in to the small hours in the summer.
And if your night is still young, then a short trip over to the After Polo for a night of dancing under the stars must surely be the perfect end to a memorable night spent in Sotogrande Marina.
However, for those who decided to have a quieter night and are up and ready to go the next day, a half or full days Yacht Charter can be boarded direct from the Sotogrande Marina quayside.
Whether you choose to book and stay in a holiday home located within Sotogrande Marina, or in one of the other locations in Sotogrande, there is plenty going on for everyone to enjoy.
